Inspired by traditional kaitaka, this blanket design speaks to the value of relationships with people and also honours our connection to place. It describes the values of engagement, our language and ability to communicate effectively with each other as we weave our collective future together.

Te Kaupapa Hono is a light weight blanket made from 100% New Zealand Lambswool using the Jacquard woven design techniques. 42 threads per square cm and 6 different weave structures it features a blanket stitch edge and is softly milled and lightly raised for extra depth and cosiness. The airy volume makes it extra soft and warm.

The light weight and refined details invite you to wear the blanket or use as a beautiful addition to your home with excellent durability it can offer a lifetime of quality.  With a reversible pattern for twice the decorative potential the 4 yarn colours used are rice, paneer blue, rust and a deep forest green. Combined to create a variety of tones and shades in the design.

Wool blankets are among the most durable and desirable of all blankets. They're soft and warm, and are very difficult to stain or damage. Wool blankets are also very easy to care for and you don’t need to wash them often, in fact, it’s best to wash them sparingly and some guidelines recommend washing wool blankets once every three months.

Check out our product care page for further information on how to care for your blanket.
