Our Wool

“Our blankets are made from a natural and renewable fibre source wool, from its odour absorbing properties, it’s natural heat management and inherent sense of luxury we are proud that we have sourced, created and manufactured our blankets in Aotearoa/New Zealand.”

SOURCING THE WOOL

Our wool is grown to the best quality and is sourced from various farms and regions in Aotearoa - New Zealand.

The wool fibres undergo a deep cleaning process where dirt, debris and oils are removed then washed using eco-friendly and biodegradable detergents.

MILLING THE WOOL

A month long milling process begins in Te Whanganui a Tara -Wellington. High quality raw fibres are selected are then prepared for dying.

Their in-house dying facility allows for custom colouring.

After blending the fibres they are pressed and conditioned. The fibres are then mixed and teased, after which the fibres are converted into yarn and transferred onto bobbins which are better suited for weaving.

Weaving Our Blankets

The final process for our wool is the weaving which takes place in Tāmaki Makaurau - Auckland.

We are able to create our custom designs, achieve individual attention to detail and integrate multiple weave structures using unique coloured wool yarns with luxury fibres.

Our manufacturer is dedicated to preserving our environment, and are accredited with the highly prestigious Toitū Envirocare Mark.
