My place of fortitude.

A place or people that inhibit strength of mind and spirit, empowering a person to encounter adversity with courage.

This design is inspired by the mumu chequered pattern traditionally associated with relationships and reflects the strength of the unified, the value of a support network to inform and strengthen our position and empower the aspirations of the individual and the collective.

A unique and distinctive blanket, Taku Pākaiahi reflects the strength of the collective in its construction. A complex blend of 6 weave structures including a detailed bespoke ‘lattice design’, Taku Pākaiahi is woven in the Jacquard style. Made using 100% New Zealand Lambswool, 35 threads per square cm, it features a decorative contrasting blanket stitch edge. Having been through an open-width scouring process it has a soft natural hand-feel, with a reversible pattern for double the artistic appeal. The colour palette utilised to highlight this design are deep ochre, alabaster, bracken and onyx coal.

Wool blankets are among the most durable and desirable of all blankets. They're soft and warm, and are very difficult to stain or damage. Wool blankets are also very easy to care for and you don’t need to wash them often, in fact, it’s best to wash them sparingly and some guidelines recommend washing wool blankets once every three months.

Check out our product care page for further information on how to care for your blanket.
