2023 & Beyond - A Letter from the founders

As you know, 2022 saw the establishment of Noa Blanket Co and the release and successful sell-out of our first three limited edition blanket collections. The Huikākahu and Wayfarer Collection, which were woven in our soft ‘traditional style’, and the most recent collection, Te Aumangea, which introduced our heavier ‘broad style’ blankets.

Our blankets sold faster than we could ever have imagined and now the seeds of growth we envisioned for the future are sown.

Over the past six months we've invested in our ability to create - giving more opportunities to share our stories, our art & craft with the world.

Development

We've given more focus to research and development, weaving old techniques with new technologies, progressing our weaving and design capabilities.

We're currently working on another exciting blanket range, an ode to our wool heritage, our comfiest weave.

More offerings

We’ve been working to provide a family of designs that we will continue to weave in our original soft ‘traditional style’. Unlike our previous limited edition collections, this range will always be available, either in stock or woven to order. This means we can provide more access to tāonga to cherish or gift, without restraints.

We want to help tell the stories of the people, stories that speak of identity and connection to serve as reminders of who we are through the art of woven wool. We’re growing our network, giving creative space to support a diverse range of artists and give voice to more of our community initiatives.

Our goal remains the same - to share our stories in textile design, weaving the next aho (thread) into our tapestry of life. To provide luxury 100% NZ wool blankets designed and woven in Aotearoa.

We've been busy sitting in our work, building what's next, appreciating our story, our growth and learning as we live it. This phase of Noa allows us to create more. To share more. To do more. To be more.
